Our Jeep CJ2A/3A replacement body #5000 fits model years 1945-1953. This body like all of our bodies is constructed from 5052 marine grade aluminum alloy that is 5/32”(.156”) in thickness. 

We do not scribe or cut any of the locations on the firewall for items such as the
steering column, brake master cylinder, main electrical, etc. Instead we leave this up to the customer to locate and provide the required cut-outs. The reason that we don’t provide these locations is because many of the Jeep owners tend to run aftermarket components.  We also do not cut or mark the locations for the fuel filler, taillights etc. The location of these components will be left up to the end user. The dashboard is included in the construction of the body with the glove box cut-out provided. We do not cut or scribe the dash for any of the factory gauges, switches or indicator lights.

Our bodies do not include any nut-inserts so when it comes to mounting components you will use the nut and bolt method. We recommend the use of stainless steel hardware when it comes to fastening parts to our body. Our bobbed version of the Jeep CJ8 body #5040 has 12” removed from the back end and fits model years 1981-1986. Although this body is 12” shorter it will work with your stock frame and stock wheel base length. This body like all of our bodies is constructed from 5052 marine grade aluminum alloy that is 5/32”(.156”) in thickness.  This body has a wheelbase of 103-1/2”.

A shorty hardtop has been developed by GR8TOPS to work with our cab and is available directly through them. This quad cab is the same length as a CJ7/ YJ body (93”) and has a wheelbase of approx. 123”, and it is made to work with one of our #5070-#5074 CJ custom boxes. 

We do not offer a frame for this body, and a custom frame would have to be used. There is a company who makes custom Jeep frames, and they may be able to make one to accept this cab.
